How CIOPORA Protects IP for Asexually Reproduced Horticultural Plant Varieties

The International Community of Breeders of Asexually Reproduced Horticultural Plants (CIOPORA) brings together plant breeders, national breeder associations, intellectual property experts and consultants from 27 countries, whose joint efforts are aimed at the development, improvement and harmonization of national and international systems of Plant Variety Protection (PVP).

CIOPORA co-vice president Wendy Cashmore and secretary-general Edgar Krieger sit down with Seed World’s Marc Zienkiewicz at the recent International Seed Federation World Seed Congress in Nice, France, to talk about the organization’s mandate and its upcoming AGM taking place in Marrakesh, Morocco.
